Child Safety on Weave
Weave is a platform for adults to have honest conversations in protected spaces. Content that harms children has no place here, and no design feature of Weave, including pseudonymous posting, shields users who violate this policy.
What we prohibit
We do not allow:
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
• Sexual content involving anyone under 18
• Grooming, including any attempt to build an inappropriate relationship with a minor
• Solicitation of minors for sexual purposes
• Requesting, trading, or directing others to CSAM
• Sexualized depictions of minors in any medium, including drawn, animated, or AI-generated content
This applies to every surface of Weave: posts, comments, profiles, images, and anything else a user can share.
How we detect and remove violations
User reporting. Every post, comment, and profile has a report option that includes a Child safety category.
Human review. Reports of child safety concerns go to a member of our team for review. Confirmed violations result in immediate removal of the content and a permanent ban of the responsible account.
Account-level enforcement. Pseudonyms do not protect bad actors. We enforce bans against the underlying account, not just the pseudonym.
How to report
In the app. Tap the report icon on any post, profile, or comment.
By email. Send details to support@hiweave.com. For urgent or in-progress harm, put "URGENT" in the subject line.
Reports can be made anonymously. We protect reporter identities and never share them with reported accounts.
Legal compliance
Weave complies with applicable child safety laws everywhere we operate. Where required, we report confirmed child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to equivalent authorities outside the United States.
We follow the Tech Coalition's best practices for Combating Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) and update our practices as those standards evolve.
Designated point of contact
Our designated child safety point of contact is reachable at support@hiweave.com. This address is monitored by a person who can speak to our CSAM and CSAE prevention practices and compliance.
Law enforcement: use the same address and identify yourself as law enforcement in the subject line.
